The New Broken Hill Consolidated Mine (NBHC Mine) initially occupied Leases 52 and 89 at the southwestern end of the line of lode.

One of the major Ag-Pb-Zn mines along the main Line of Lode at Broken Hill. The mine lies near the western extremity of the main Broken Hill lode. The square concrete headframe of the NBHC mine was incorporated into the Consolidated Zinc mine. The mine was merged with the North Broken Hill Peko mine to become Pasminco Mining in 1988. In 2002 the Pasminco Southern Operations mine was purchased by Perilya, who are the current (2012) operators of the mine. There are three main shafts accessing the orebody within the boundaries of the mining lease and these are (following a south-western strike, starting at the northern end of the lease) the Zinc Shaft, NBHC Shaft and the Southern Cross Shaft.
