The Monte Foscarinetto area at 234 metres above sea level is located in the central-eastern sector of the Lessini Mountains. From a geological point of view, the area can be referred to as the Southern Alpine Domain and the main outcropping rocks (porphyritic basalts) have an age between the cretaceous (145-65 Ma) and the lower Miocene (35 Ma).
