The Escape intrusion is described as a โ€œchonolithโ€. The overlying rocks within the Escape intrusion constitute the hybrid units. Below the hybrids, the mafic rocks of the Escape intrusion comprise fine-grained oxide gabbros, olivine gabbros/melagabbros, which are in sharp contact with each other and, in particular, the lower ultramafic rocks.
