An old, abandoned basalt quarry on the west side of Sarvaly Hill, south of Sümegprága, worked in the 1950s. At the eastern end of the quarry, a hydrothermally brecciated basalt occurs with great blocks of calcite and aragonite.

The quarry is an illegal waste dump now.

Németh and Martin refer to the quarry simply as Sümegprága, however this is probably due to the quarry being closer to this town.
