a vein in a dolerite sill at Embleton quarry, near
Cockermouth, Cumberland. A. W. G. Kingsbury...Orange-brown cleavages on vein quartz, at
Merehead quarry, near Shepton Mallet, Somerset.
Specimen found...(2 cm) from a pegmatite vein in the old aplite quarry at Meldon,
Okehampton, Devon. A. W. G. Kingsbury...cleavable masses in hydrocerussite, etc.,
at Merehead quarry, Somerset. C. J. Alabaster

a pegmatite in the old aplite quarry at Meldon,

quarry, where the Whin Sill is intruded bel ow the Great...fine sand-dunes of
Embleton Bay was encouraged by the prospect of tea at Embleton,
after which the return...and dendritic markings. At the
western end of the quarry remains of the Marl Slate were found
and yielded...finally tracked and dug out of the mud. Tea
at Embleton and a pleasant run home completed the day.
Sunday...strata,
including the Prudham Stone, was seen in quarry sections at
