zeolites are an interesting and quite pleasing group of minerals from the collector’s standpoint, with...of other zeolites, prehnite, calcite, and apophyllite-group minerals. Scolecite is apparently not abundant...and at the Dexter quarry, Lincoln County, Rhode Island. A historical occurrence is with prehnite in gneiss...has been reported from the traprock quarries of New Jersey, including those at Edgewater, Bergen County;...garronite. Finally, it was shown to be the relatively new mineral cowlesite. Valid Colorado scolecite occurrences
