Rudolf Burda

b. 1973, Czech Republic

Rudolf Burda studied at the School of Applied Arts in Turnov (Czech Republic) major of artistic blacksmithing. From 1992 to 1993 Rudolf absolved an internship in California, USA, and became an established artist in the Czech Republic. 

Rudolf’s gets his inspiration from the universe cosmic reaction, “The Big Bang”, which has neither beginning nor end. In his work, Rudolf is known as an artist with a minimalistic legacy and searching for the ideal and pure form. The artist’s aim is to contribute to the preservation of the traditional method of hand-blown glass, by developing and perfecting it. 

Nowadays Rudolf primarily works with glass and designs stainless steel sculptures. His works are represented in various art collections in the Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, Holland, Great Britain, United States of America, and the Middle East. From 2012 Rudolf participated at various exhibitions and art fairs Netherlands, UAE, Singapore, China and USA.

His artworks are admired and collected regionally and internationally by esteemed art collectors in the world and also by prestigious private and corporate institutions. Special project artwork commissions can be seen at The Morpheus Hotel by Zaha Hadid in Macau, China and Leica’s World in Wetzlar in Germany. In 2016, Rolls-Royce corporation bought the whole collection of Rudolf Burda’s sculptures. 

In 2018 Rudolf Burda participated in the most prestigious art events, The Jiangsu Art Fair and The Scope Miami Art Basel Miami, and Art Bab, Kingdom Of Bahrain, which was followed by a personal large exhibition in the capital of Oman, Muscat.
