The Starfire Technical Academy is open to any child age 7-12 years old that is looking for technical and tactical development, and is a great next step for Micro League players looking for more advanced development. Participants will be trained on technical skills such as controlling the soccer ball, dribbling, passing, and shooting, and how to apply these skills during game play. Training sessions will include everything from 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 scenarios, to set piece plays (throw-ins, kick-offs, corner kicks), to attacking and defending formations. In conjunction with recommendations from U.S. Soccer’s Player Safety Campaign statement, we will not be practicing or providing training instruction on heading the soccer ball in an effort to limit head injuries.

Training Schedule – Fall 2019

12 weeks beginning September 9th (Mondays), September 10th (Tuesdays), or September 13th (Fridays)

Ages 7-9: Mondays from 6-7:30pm, Tuesdays from 5-6:30pm, or Fridays from 5-6:30pm; 1 training session per week; 12 weeks

Ages 10-12: Tuesdays or Fridays from 6:30-8pm; 1 training session per week; 12 weeks

Cost

$230 for the 10-week session. Starfire membership required. Please note that registration fees are non-refundable.
