Due to the impact of the COVID Pandemic and subsequent state-mandated restrictions, as well as health concerns, the Chamber has canceled and tentatively re-scheduled the following events.
Annual Installation and Awards Banquet
Canceled -September 15, 2020
NEW DATE Tuesday May 18, 2021 – Kathedral Event Center
The banquet honors new and established businesses, as well as those in special award categories. 2020-21 honorees include Jim Donio - Nice Going Award and DiDonato’s Family Fun Center – Business of the Year. Jim has been a town advocate, entrepreneur, philanthropist and ambassador for Hammonton for many years. The DiDonato name has been synonymous with family entertainment since 1952, growing into a true Hammonton landmark. Note that there will be no additional special honorees for 2021, but new businesses from both 2020 and 2021 will be spotlighted together.
John W. Mazzeo Memorial Golf Tournament
Canceled – September 30, 2020
NEW DATE Wednesday October 6, 2021
This unique event honors local players 80 years of age and older, with free dinner and golf. It also funds scholarships for local high school golf teams. Site to be determined.
Annual International Wine & Beer Expo
Canceled –October 14, 2020
NEW DATE Tuesday April 28, 2021 – Kathedral Event Center
Area wine and beer fans have made this a “must” on their April calendar. It features wine from WineWorks, a great array of beer and ale from Kramer Beverage, an assortment of imported cheese from Bagliani’s Market, olive oil samples and chocolates from Tales of the Olive, Italian pastries from Mannino’s Cannoli Express, bread samples from Breadheads, plus carving and pasta stations. To add to the festivities, MainStreet Hammonton will conduct a “Wine Pull” fundraiser, featuring unique wines and prizes.
Re: Chamber Board Meetings
Chamber Board meetings will still be held virtually, as well as a formal installation of trustees and officers on September 15th. Plans for a socially distanced Holiday Mixer, as well as any of these events, will depend upon the state’s restrictions in the coming months.
