- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at firstāit's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
- Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.
Happy editing! Cheers, āĀ APĀ 499D25 (talk) 04:24, 30 January 2025 (UTC)

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at 2025 Potomac River mid-air collision. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. The flight code is American Eagle 5342. NOT PSA. Stop changing it. Electricmemory (talk) 04:22, 30 January 2025 (UTC)

2025 Potomac River mid-air collision
[edit]Hello User:Quincy Gordon,
Please refrain from continually re-doing your edit on the 2025 Potomac River mid-air collision article, where you were changing "American Eagle" to "PSA Airlines", when other people had reverted it. Instead of edit warring, join the talk page discussion at Talk:2025 Potomac River mid-air collision § American Eagle vs. PSA if you would like to proceed further with this. Continuing to restore your edit without discussing it and getting a consensus first may lead to you being blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thanks. āĀ APĀ 499D25 (talk) 04:34, 30 January 2025 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to 1968 HansellāCharles City tornado, without good reason. They should have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If a page move is potentially controversial, you can and should open a requested move (RM) per the instructions given at WP:RM#CM. Thank you. Departureā (talk) 03:52, 19 June 2025 (UTC)
1896 Sherman Tornado
[edit]Hello, Quincy Gordon, I'm Halls4521. Like you, I was putting together a draft version for a article for the 1896 Sherman Tornado as well. Since it looks like your further along than I am, here's my draft here, just in case you want to use some additional sentences and references for yours. Thanks. Halls4521 (talk) 05:48, 15 November 2025 (UTC)
- I am absolutely impressed with the work you have, I will surely use what you have and when I can I will credit you for your contributions, thank you! Quincy Gordon (talk) 16:14, 15 November 2025 (UTC)

Hi Quincy Gordon! I noticed that you recently made an edit and marked it as "minor", but it may not have been. On Wikipedia, "minor edit" refers only to superficial edits that could never be disputed, such as fixing typos or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not minor, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. HurricaneZetaC 23:09, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
- May you clarify? What edit are you specifically referring to? Quincy Gordon (talk) 02:38, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
- You're marking all of your edits as minor. This should only be used when fixing typos, etc. Changing images or even adding words aren't minor and shouldn't be marked as such because they can be misleading and make the edits not show for some editors at first glance on their watchlist Best wishes in editing. - alright thanks for the clarification Quincy Gordon (talk) 03:58, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
